Re: b20b turbo build
bone stock jdm b20b (8.8:1 compression version)
p8r head (has vtec sized intake valves)
victor x intake manifold
walbro 255
rc550 injectors
ebay kit (log manifold, 50trim turbo)
220/198 on 6lbs, 302/256 on 13lbs, pump gas.
Theres a whole thread deticated to boosted B20's on here, it was pretty helpful when I was doing mine. Alot of people said "omgz b20's and boost don't mix", funny cause a lot of boosted b20s in that thread and my old motor is in another car running going on 3 years later.

Re: b20b turbo build
It did have an edelbrock tb, forgot to put that. Other then that nothing unless you wanna count the full race traction bar lol. It was tuned on s300 by my buddy. Car ran great, didn't really get to see 13psi too often as the ebay clutch couldnt handle it, mainly drove around on 6psi with slipping clutch lol. I used to have a build thread up for the crx it was in, not sure if its still up or not, ill try searching later.
The turbo might have been a 57 trim, its been so long. I can dig up pics of the setup though if you want..
It was a really cheap setup that made decent power and suprised a few people lol.
JDM b20b from tigerjapanese: $515shipped, sold extra stuff that came with it such as injectors, intake manifold, ps pump, ac bracket and made over 150 back. So we'll say $365ish
Ebay kit: $500 off buddy
Ebay Clutch: $149
RC 550's: $100 off craigslist
Victor X/TB: $200 off craigslist
s300: $525
Tuning: Free from buddy
Total: Less then 2k bucks...
I drove the car boosted for about a year before trading the car off. I ended up getting the car back a few months later in a trade/deal. I put the b20 into an Integra for the kid and he got everything but the injectors and s300 back. To my knowledge the motor is still in that Integra and running still (3 years later)

Re: b20b turbo build
No it was actually on a dynojet that had just been recalibrated to 2000hp. Its not that hard to make power without vtec, boost is the greatest equalizer.
Heres some stock LS motors making decent power with not a whole lot of boost. LS is essentially a b20 minus the 3mm bore difference.

325whp on 13lbs...

Theres one on there of a stock LS with 8lbs making 300whp. I sent the OP a few links to show him the turbo b20 thread on here.

Re: b20b turbo build
Just a side note- the last LS on that list of links was no stock internal LS making that kind of power. It had cams and a "built" head (not sure what that means cause it didn't go into details).
guy_from_nerk - Would like know if it was on a 50 trim or 57 trim? When were you hitting full boost? I was hitting full boost (15psi) by 5,200 rpm and that was in 2nd gear on a Teg RS tranny which has THE worst gear ratios....
For the OP-
What car are you going to run a B20 in and what are your goals? This will largely dictate what route you want to take with a lot of things that go into a build.

Re: b20b turbo build
I was just using them as examples since you said its hard to make 300hp without vtec, which is not true. In fact if it wasn't for a slipping clutch I would've turned the boost up even higher, I had faith in my tuner keeping it safe with the AR's
I believe it was in fact a 57 trim, just had a .50ar on cold side/.63 on the hot side. And I was seeing boost right around the 5-5500 mark (13psi).
Only pics of the turbo its self that I have left
I have some vids of it on youtube on 6lbs, that you could check out to see how quickly it spooled at lower boost.
Heres the slipping clutch I was talking about (after 500 miles worth of boost lol)
