Re: Gran Turismo 5 Integra Type R pics
question about gameplay: does the R handle like you'd expect it to? or did the makers of GT5 say "it's just another civic" and make it "suck"?

They say there is a '01 usdm R but so far I havent seen it for sale new or used on the game. I saw a Spoon jdm dc2 and bought it but I want my usdm front!
The car handles great actually, haven't got the chance to play it with the steering wheel controller though.

Re: Gran Turismo 5 Integra Type R pics
I heard there is online play for this. Is it like an MMO?
I almost bought a PS3 when GT4 came out but then I played it and noticed that the physics in the game sucked compared to GT3. Is the handling like it was in GT1 2 and 3?

The makers of Grand turismo take into account of all the car specs an handling for the most part. An hopefully it is a newer an updated version of 1,2, an 3 they were the ****! The game looks great though, looks like a pic of a real R for the most part.

Re: Gran Turismo 5 Integra Type R pics
When I first got GT3, I thought it was OK but overall I got used to it and ended up liking it. I mostly hated the availability of used cars in GT3 compared to the original Gran Turismo. However when GT4 came around, I really liked it as it seemed to have brought out the best in GT3 while adding more to it. When GT4 came out, it really felt as though Polyphony optimized the game in every facet and did everything they could to take advantage of the system's limitations, from using a Double layer, 8GB DVD (GT3 was single layer 4GB IIRC) to being the ONLY PS2 game that could run in 1080i mode! For those who aren't computer literate, the fact that you could get good picture quality and 1080i screen resolution on a computer with a paltry 4MB video card is an accomplishment in of itself. While it was true there were quite a few slow downs in certain scenarios with GT4 whilst playing on the original PS2, I was hoping that those would be a non issue by the time you'd get the chance to play the game on the PS3 (future console) however those hopes were dashed when it was made clear sony had no intentions of really pushing compatibility with its PS2 games. Yes I understand the 20 and 60GB PS3 have "full" PS2 compatibility but in the scope of PS3s sold, I'd say the PS3 basically has no PS2 compatibility.
I hate how sony has made the hardware on the PS2 and PS3 so needlessly complex that it made proper emulation impossible on future revisions. There is a reason why PS1 games can be emulated while PS2 games, it's not so easily done.
Oh I forgot to mention, I was at CES 2010 and got the chance to try out GT5 and let me tell you, it totally sucked. They had the steering wheel and shifter hooked up and every person who tried to drive a car would hopelessly spin out. I was very arrogant and just thought these were newbies or people who didn't play this game but when I tried it, the exact same thing happened. I hope sony fixed this in its final release because when I played the game, it was very difficult to keep the car in a straight line and impossible to make a turn without the car spinning out. That gaming experience was completely absurd to say the least.
