NEED help!!! piece of dipstick broke off into engine.. b18b1
ok so i havent checked my oil for awhile. so i decided to check it today and i find out that something broke off the dipstick where the 2nd dot is at. its broken like 1 1/2 inch off the dipstick. im wondering will my engine get messed up with that little peice floating around.? its driving fine and runs fine. about 1 month ago when i pulled the dipstick it was bent about 2 inches. what can possibly be breaking/bending my dipstick in the engine? thanks

lolz found the problem. freakin nephew borrowed my dipstick to check his oil.... ahahaha

slap your nephew in the back of his head! lol that piece is gonna blow your motor up dude!!! jk it will eventually float down and hopefully drain out in your next oil change!

Maybe installing a magnetic drain plug might catch it before it is too late, otherwise take the oil pan out and retrieve that POS...

Are you saying your dipstick is still broken in the engine- that your nephew did it?
Or just that he borrowed your dipstick and put his broken one in?
If it's in your engine I suggest dropping the pan. Or slapping a powerful magnet to the bottom of the pan.
