Default grounding kits and voltage stabilizers... why?

I'm considering upgrading my "big 3" wiring in my car (98 civic). However, I see alot of engine ground wire kits and voltage stabilizers on the market. So my questions are:
1) Is it worth having a VS, or is it tuner bulls**?
2) Does a ground wire kit make a difference?
3) Is a ground wire kit still functional if the "big 3" wires are swapped to 0 gauge?

grounds make a positive difference, whether or not you have upgraded the big 3. The larger the wire, the less resistance to ground, so 0 awg wont hurt anything. I dont understand your question #3... If you swap to 0 awg, is that not the ground update kit you are referring to in the first place? I don't have an opinion on VS, I don't see an immediate benefit, nor do I see a negative on them.

some performance companies make all kinds of "ground kits" that are basically a bunch of little grounds hooked up to a ground distribution block.

as for the question...start with the big three.

yes i am, to refine #3: i guess i'm asking if once i upgrade to 0 gauge, is it still beneficial to have a ground wire kit? if the engine already has a 0 gauge ground wire on it?

Interesting story about grounding kits:

When I was a ricer, I did a grounding kit on my car. Made them with gold connectors and 0awg wire. And you know what? It made a difference I could feel. Idle was more stable and acceleration was improved.

Later, when I was done having red wires going everywhere in my engine bay .... I bought brand new grounds from Honda. Replaced all the 0awg grounds, and goddamnit if I didn't notice a bit of difference.

Lesson learned: I was a ricer and your stock grounds get corroded and nasty. Butt dyno does not equal power.
