Rywire or make your own...it just takes TIME fellas
If you have more time than money, make your own...
If you have more money than time...buy one
When you make one or buy one, add about 10 extra wires in ahead of time for future additions.

Re: custom wire harness?
I have a chasebays harness and it works flawlessly. I bought mine about 2 years ago with the mil spec connector on it and had a few wires and an fjo installed. I would not recommend them now because of their customer service. the service is terrible and they always lie to you about the status of the harness.it took him nearly 8 months to get my friend a harness done and when he got it, there was an issue with it and chase made a whole new harness and that was about a year after he had ordered it. They have alot of nerve charging people the amount that they do and make you pay and then dick you around. He said it would take about a month and took 8 times longer. When i got my harness done they weren't in as high of a "demand" like they have been/were the past year or so. I would go with rywire cause of his customer service and he will make sure that you will get a harness in the amount of time he says that it will take him to do it. As Xenocron said you should make sure that you get a larger mil spec connector or provisions for extra wires that way you can add and subtract as you make changes to your car.

Re: custom wire harness?
there like around 1k i think but you will mostly likely spend around that much trying to make the identical thing as a rywire harness.
But I made my own just for the satisfaction and ****.

Re: custom wire harness?
There are only a handful of people that build these properly and advertise about it. T1's guy makes a great harness with wiring that is sized properly, shielded properly, etc. Myself, kataku2k3 and Ryan (Rywire) also do this as well using the proper materials, techniques and equipment. These aren't cookie cutter run of the mill harnesses so expect to pay for top of the line stuff and expect to wait 2-6 weeks for custom stuff. Building these things are very tedious and a lot of the money is spent in the labor aspect of things.
As far as a few of the "others" that make them, the wiring is the bare minimum; sometimes not sized large enough from what I have seen or repaired. The shielding has been seen to be questionable and the many if not most of the connectors are used and not cleaned and/or broken. And most of these are not built using Raychem shrink and Tefzel wiring. Do you need the Raychem shrink...probably not....but at least when you spend 5k to get to a race....the wiring will be something that you don't have to think about....

Re: custom wire harness?
^^^thats neat!
guys let's say, i want to order a harness, a complete replacement mil spec harness for my engine, then after sometime I want to add things on the car like m&w,nlr etc.
do I need a new harness or I just need to send it out where I got it?
another thing, if i want a custom harness do i need to send out my connectors(m&w etc)

Re: custom wire harness?
Dont bother using Chase Bays, every harness I've seen from him was screwed up in one way or another, and that was the ones that arrived about a year later than they were supposed to.
I'm having Tony's guy do the harness for my race car, I want it done right the first time. I'm sure that Blown90Hatch, kataku2k3 and Ryan (Rywire) are also capable of doing a good job. Just avoid Chase, unless you want lies and excuses.
