Default My K24/K20 Turbo Crx.... (Pics)

Hey whats up everyone. I dont really post much on here but im around nonetheless. Mainly you can find me on K20a.org. Just wanted to share my ride with you all. I have posted a few pics in the Gallery as well so you will see some of the same pics here. Currently its a '90 Crx Hf that I purchased back in 2001 for $850 and I have been through a few different setups on my quest for a fast car that I will love. Been through d/b series, GSR engine blew on 9-11-05, so I needed something new. I had a stock K20a2 in January of 2006 and then went for a full turbo build, sold it all to get a bike, changed my mind and started buying all the sh*t back. Currently its a K24a4 block with TSX pistons and rods and a stock Type S head..

This is what it used to look like back in 2006
Stock A2 swap with clutch kit and direct port.... Never sprayed on.....

Since I decided to make it turbo, it now looks like this....

Interior not completed yet.... However Cluster is fully functional.

My Jamaica License plate

I have listed the parts and how much I have spent on this swap alone...

3 inch Exhaust and Muffler $360
ETD Racing Traction Bar $200

So far my total invested is a little more than $18,104... (Oil, Coolant, telfon tape and minute miscellaneous things not calculated)

Right now I cant complain about it man... It's very impressive untuned and Im in love with it

Since I made the clutch setup hydraulic, this is what I had to do with the clutch pedal setup

However the twin disc kept breaking the clutch pedal assembly... and this part kept on flexing....

I ended up cutting the shaft off from the pedal assembly, drilling out the hole, went to the local parts store and purchased a stronger bolt. I put it through and welded it fit it up back together. Its much stronger than before now. I also welded a bracket from the bottom of the fabricated bracket fro the CMC to go back up to the chassis to keep it from pushing it in.. After that it didn't give me any more problems.

This build has been in progress for over a took me a very long time to make this money and spend my hard earned money on this car. I know its a hell of a lot, but im happy with it so im good.

At this time I DO NOT have any Dyno Sheets or any track times as she hasnt seen neither. I was able to get a hold of a set of CP pistons and IB rods so I will be yanking the swap out to install the new goodies, and then put her back together. Afterwards I can let you know what the numbers are looking like... Im shooting for 600+whp. Thanks for checking out my build and your +/- comments are more than welcome...... I will post more to keep up with the new build..

Osric...

Nope...lol.. I wish...... It still untuned and I dont really abuse it 100% but I still have problems with traction..

No runs yet at this time. I just been driving it on my own in my spare time to make sure that it can handle road trips... I plan to take it out of town from time to time....

If you think about it, you end up spending the same or more than this on your car if you think about everything that you have done for it if your in the game for a while and you buy everything that is legit.... Its the inevitable. And besides.. When you love something, you dont really care about how much you put into it... As long as it makes you happy...

Well I pulled out the swap about a week ago since I got some Rods and Pistons to put in there now.... CP 9:1 comp and IB H Beam Rods.. Numbers are coming soon....
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by layedoutat0psi &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">hell yeah that thing is badass, and i bet you **** yourself everytime you drive it. do you have any estimated times you "think" it might run??? and what is that dash out of and how hard was it to get it to fit?
</TD></TR></TABLE>
Im looking to get mid 10's out of it almost full potential.... Just wanna wait till I get it tuned first.... That dash is an Integra Dash 94-01
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by CRXBart &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Glad you posted these pics. I noticed they were down on k20a.org. I was wondering how the car was doing. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Really? Not sure why.. Maybe its your comp....lol... I see them fine.... So far she's doing good..<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ESP.net &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Nice build! definetly squeezed in there.... just tell us all it has a nice SAFE home/garage? </TD></TR></TABLE>
Yes.. Well she never sleeps outside at all.... You gotta be good to get it where it is...

All in all everything is going fine for now... The engine should be assembled today, if not today then over the weekend & then get my Traction Bar, then I just have to get it on the dyno & I will share the numbers with all...

That's beautiful...if there was a "smiley icon" for standing ovation I'd click it.

You're brave, I don't even want to tr making an invested parts list for my car...it'd be my luck I'd cause myself a massive heartattck

Mad props to you bro! there used to be a "bow down" icon but I guess that's only on crsx. anyways, GL with the build I've subscribed to your build so keep us posted. Btw, I like the whole 1-pc fiberglass front end. Really adds to the "badass-ness" of it all.

Oh don't worry... I still have those rims... I'm just waiting until the motor is done and I will buy some tires for them..... Those Gold sunflowers I got for $150 with almost new tires on them... Couldn't pass that offer up.....
