HELP: solid CEL and blinking SRS Light
95 civic with a d15b vtec swap, my CEL light comes on when i crank my car. I jump off the CEL light to flash codes and the CEL just stays steady with no blink and the SRS light starts to blink... kinda weird guys!! someone said i could just unplug the SRS light form the cluster and it would ignore the SRS system and then flash my codes on the cel light.

Re: HELP: solid CEL and blinking SRS Light
I have the same issue with my at. : 95 civic 16z6: it sputtered and died and had no spark bit Now it's doing the same: CEL stays on, SRS flashes same intervals forever. What's the issue? Distributor?

Re: HELP: solid CEL and blinking SRS Light
I had the same problem. I was driving and the car just suddenly dies. I pull over, jumper the diagnostics connector and the CEL turns on and the SRS light just flashes endlessly. The Car will not start.
I tow it home and started to try to figure it out.
First I found a loose battery cable(oops).
The starter worked even with the loose battery cable.
I tightened it but still it would not start.
No Fuel pump Hum.
No power to the fuel pump.
fuel pump works when jumpering 5 and 7 connector on the fuel pump relay.
replaced the fuel pump relay...No joy.
I never checked for spark.
I remembering reading not to disconnect power with the key on or engine running or it could hurt the ECU.
So i replaced the ECU. Whooo Hooo!
I have a car again.
So my guess is the continuous flashing SRS light while checking for codes means something is wrong with the ECU, in my case total death.
