gas leaking from evap canister?
I have a engine light on for evap system leak. I noticed gas leaking from the canister drain tube? Is this normal when the canister is toast? Or is there some other problem? I removed the two vacuum lines going to the canister to see if fuel is come in from there but they were dry.
The car is a 95 accord ex. Any info would help. Thanks

Re: gas leaking from evap canister?
if i had to guess, maybe it's not purging the vapors as it should and they are building up and condensing in the canister. I think there should be a purge solenoid that may be need to be tested out.

Re: gas leaking from evap canister?
So have found some info on removing the canister all together. Do i just plug the line from the tank and remove the canister?

I suppose you could do that since it's OBDI, but I have never done that. Your mileage may suffer some, but I can't tell you for sure. I would diagnose it properly and repair the problem before removing it. test out the purge solenoid and see if it's bad. Maybe that will fix everything.
