Hey guys, I got gsr and I have been having problems with the clutch/tranny. Sometimes the car will not go into gear when it is on. I thought it was a bad slave cylinder so I changed it but the problem still persist. This doesnt happen all the time though, usually when the car does not go into gear, I pump the clutch really hard about 10-20 times and the gears work again.. other times it wont work at all. And when I get it to work, I cant drive at high past 5k rpm because the car will lose power and the gears get stuck.

Ive bled the fluid plenty of times already and it use to work fine for about a week then the problem comes back, but the problem is getting worse so bleeding wont even help anymore
I dont think there is a leak anywhere because the fluid level is always normal.

I have no idea what the problem could be and its getting really annoying

Im not quite sure what the setup is because this car belongs to my friend.
the only thing i know about it is that its a 6puck clutch with an aftermarket pressure plate. It grabs VERY hard.

more information? Do you mean that the shifter physically cannot go into the gear or you have the shifter in gear but the car will not move upon releasing the clutch?

Sorry, Yeah i meant the shifter will not go into gear at all when the car is on. If i turn the car off, I can put it in gear and if i start it in gear the car will move as if the clutch engaged.

Also there is always pressure on the clutch so I'm thinking the Master cylinder is still good?

car will not go into gear anymore even after pumping the clutch for 15 minutes!

your whole clutch setup is ****ed. pressure plate, clutch disc and flywheel might be ****ed up. most likely your throwout bearing splitted into 2 pieces. happened to me. sorry buddy hope this helps.

yep. i had the same problem as you but i couldnt get pass 3k-4k. take off your transmission and see what happenend.

my friend is soon gonna have the same problem too. he has a stage 4 clutch master setup and last night was bad.

to be honest i have no idea is wrong with the car anymore. At times it works perfectly and revs high with no problems, other times the car wont go into gear at all during start up. If my clutch is really messed up, would it play games with me like this?
For example,
12:00pm - I go outside to start the car to go grab a bite, Car starts but will not go into gear. So I decide to just pump the clutch a few times with the car on and off, Still does not go into gear. So I give up.

12:30pm - I decide to give it another try because I'm getting really hungry, Turn the car on and everything works perfectly.

1:30pm - Finish eating and go outside to start the car, Car will not go into gear at all. So I leave the car there and go home with a friend.

6:00pm - Come back for the car and still does not go into gear. I try pumping the clutch and everything and still does not go into gear. So I wait around for about 30 minutes, Try it again and still does not want to go in gear. I leave the car overnight.

9:00am next morning - I come back for the car, Still does not want to work.

12:00pm - Come back and the car works perfectly.

I feel like this car only wants to be driven when it wants to..

Any other ideas?
can it really be the clutch? works perfectly at times.

do you notice anything with the outside temperature as these things happen?

I thought about the temperature but sometimes it works 15 minutes after not working. I think it works more often when the temperature is cooler.
