P0135 and P0141
I recently purchased a 1996 Honda Civic EX Turbo for my son. The CEL is on and when I hooked up a cold reader, I get P0135 and P0141. Is it possible both O2 sensors are bad? The car has been setting for almost 3 years.

First clear codes from the ECU to see whether the CEL codes repeat. Also check whether 7.5A dash fuse 15 is blown.

o2 sensors are a wearable item, and they need to be replaced every time you do your spark plugs. ESPECIALLY since your car is turbo, it will have bigger injectors and will consume more fuel. this will wear your o2 sensors more.

now, as for testing. you will probe the wires to the map sensor while it is running and plugged in. you will look for 1.8v(at signal wire) and less than 1ohm resistance (on ground) at idle. Near full throttle should read 4.9v(signal wire) at near full throttle.
