blower motor removel

Not too tough to do; 8mm, 10mm deepwell small screwdriver for blower case clips.
drop out the glove box, loosen up the bolts that hold in the Evap core. Evap core DOES NOT have to be removed, unbolt the blower motor case.
I also peel back the carpet and get the TCU/ECU out of the way.
Just remember the exact angle and position of the unit when it comes down out of the dash.
Then you can split open the case to replace the motor unit.

Re: blower motor removel (redovermind)
Just want to add couple points to Hondadude's detail explanation.
Be careful not to damage the blades (the round thing connected to the motor). It would be tight getting it in and out of the position. You will need a small alen wrench to detach the blade from the old motor and attach it to the new motor.
If the new motor is not OEM, then make sure you have the positive and negative terminals correct. Because the OEM motor is a plug in. Non-OEM motor just has two seperate connectors.

If you're doing this because your blower motor "died", there's a possibility it could just have a dead spot in the motor armature. A quick solution is to :
0) turn the fan off (dial it all the way to the left) for safety.
1) put the air circulation system on "recirculation": this will open the vents off the bottom of the blower motor assembly and expose the blower wheels to the cabin area after you:
2) pop off the bottom cover panel on the blower motor assembly, ( parallel to the floot; it comes off by hand, there's a clip molded into the front of it that is small but you'll see it with a flashlight.). This will allow you to reach up to the blower motor wheels.
3) (make sure your fan switch is in the off position first), and reach up carefully with your hand and turn the blower wheel a little bit by hand . This will rotate the motor armature to a "live" position so that when you switch the fan switch on it will start turning.
You will have to do this each time the motor won't start. But it's a lot easier and cheaper than replacing the blower motor. or disassembling it to clean it out.

Re: blower motor removel
I found it easier to get the blower motor assembly out than to reinstall it along with with the duct in correct alignment. Of course I took out the whole assembly, not just the motor.
