Default Auto Axles and Manual Axles the same..?

i really need this question answered, because my boot tore on my tranny side axle(passenger side) is gonna need replaced soon.

Luckily i have a rear ended Auto LS for parts, but its auto, and my new gsr is manual. so if they are the same, then i have a set of axles i can use ... if not that sucks

unlikely but you never know. however, for any of us to possibly help you we need the vehicle infos. as in the years and motors, etc. if you get that for us i can look up the oem numbers real quick. i have those auto zone axles myself. boot rips i just get another one under warranty. mt rides are stock all around except the radio basicaly so lowered sar issues i dont have on the autozone axles. but get us more info and we'll go from there

okay then why is there different oem numbers on them? you would think honda would just keep one part number the same right? it is true that some stuff can be used because it fits but is it strong enough? like in the cv joint materials? so maybe it does work, but i just looked up the oem numbers. i have never done this myself but on stuff like part numbers i have on hand so i dont mind lookin stuff up for people by oem stuff. that was what my stuff said.

I personally put a right side 96 gsr axel in an automatic 94 ls. Not 100% sure on the halfshaft and left side but it does look the same.

They are the same man. It's not that hard to get down there and swap them.

ooo I know its not hard, lol thats not what i am asking, i have limited time and access to a bay and a lift, so i dont want to waste time. If it fits and works, then i will pull it thursday with my LS engine and put it on some time next week along with my front UCA's and my Extended wheel studs and new lug nuts.

Go to autozone to get an axle, there is no option for auto or manual, therefore they are the same. The only variation is if the car has abs or not. auto / manual, all the same.

They are exactly the same from auto->manual. My car was automatic and i converted it to manual. The only difference between an automatic and a manual (concerning axles) is the halfshaft but as long as you have the right halfshaft for your transmission, any axle will work.

I'm assuming you mean intermediate shaft, axle is generally the same thing as half-shaft.
