I've been having this problem off and on all summer. There is a gas station near me that I always go to because it has 93 octane, however for some reason I'm not always able to fill up my tank. I usually put in about 10.5 gallons when I'm almost on E, but when this happens I can only put in 9-9.5. At that point the pump will click off and I can't even over-pump very far. I can come back later to the same place and finish filling my tank after driving around a little bit. Has anyone ever had this problem? Is it the gas station or is there something wrong with my car?

how weird.. I also have the same problem.. for some reason it wont let me fill up all the way.. the gas pump will click off saying that its full.. so i get in the car and the gas pin is like a quarter inch away from the full mark.. I just noticed that a few days ago..

That explains one of my fill-ups with the CRX.

The counter on the pump read 12.9 gallons when I filled it up - my tank is 11.2 gallons.

I've had the same exact problem on a certain pump at the local gas station..I felt like such a homo! It kept clicking off when I had like 2gallons in..

Check to see if u'r gas tank is dented. Same prob on my GS-R. I had a huge dent in the middle.

yeah, if a pump clicks off on me, like twice I will hang it up and go to a gas station that does maintenance on their pumps.

Contact your State Auditor, the person who does the weights and measurements cause there ripping people off and there measurements are wrong.

im having the same problem. the last 2 fillups it would only allow me to put in around 9 gallons. ive had the car for 2 years and ive put in like 10.9 gallons before but the last 2 fillups have just been crappy. ive only got 200 miles out of this tank!

going to work today, i stopped by the ol gas station to filler'up. my fuel light came on and i figured i better or else! :D so i pull in. the integra has an 11 gallon tank right? i only put in 7 gallons before it started overflowing. i checked the receipt from the last time i filled up and it was only 8 gallons.

whats up with this? do i need a new gas tank? are they expensive? i have a pretty nice dent from the previous owner in the gas tank but ive driven the car for over 2 years with not a problem. now all of sudden i cant get a full tank of gas! it happens at any gas station i goto so i know its not just the pump. HELP ME!

The teg has a 13.1 gallon tank. Usually when my fuel light goes on, I have ~3 gallons left in the tank since I usually can pump in only 10-10.5 gallons. The light shouldn't go on if you can only put in 7-8 gallons. I think your fuel meter or whatever it is that sense fuel levels in the tank is not working right.

how does the car know when the fuel tank is getting low? is there a little floatie thing in the gas tank? something i can replace for cheap? the previous owner smacked the gas tank and it has a big dent in it but it has never done this before until a few weeks ago. i just dont wanna be stuck on the side of the road or pay some ungodly amount of money for a new gas tank.
