Drivers Side Parking Brake Cable Stuck
Since its gotten bitterly cold out, my drivers side parking brake cable keeps getting stuck(i have the center console out so i can see it) but the pass side is fine.
What im wondering is, is it the cable or actual brake? I can take a vice grips and try to push the cable back but it doesnt move too much. When I move the car into the garage for a bit, the cable seems to move freely which means it has to do with the temp.
For those who may know, does this sound like a cable issue or a brake drum issue? and what should I look at or research to try to fix this problem?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Drivers Side Parking Brake Cable Stuck
could be freezing up try not to use it when its damp then really cold. you should take the drum off and make sure that the lever moves back freely . try spraying it with wd-40 where the cable goes into the outer casing or buy a new cable

Re: Drivers Side Parking Brake Cable Stuck
If the line is the problem then removing it from the driver's side drum will fix the problem. If it doesn't, there's friction at the drum causing it to stick. Don't try driving more than a few mph with the rear brake disconnected.
