car keeps dying when engine is cold?
Every morning when I start up my car to warm it up, my car keeps dying. I have to keep cracking it over until i can keep it alive. Right when it stays alive, I have to hold onto the gas pedal for good 30 seconds so the car wont die. Also it keeps bogging when i try to start it and hold the gas when the motor is cold. Does anyone know what the problem is? The only check engine light I got is code 6 (water temp sensor) and code 22 (Vtec pressure valve). If this helps, I got a jdm itr motor in a 00 civic hatch. I'm using a 00 si engine harness with a 00 civic si ecu (p2t).

check your distributor. sometimes the coil inside the dizzy goes bad so you'll have to keep doing that. my old ek hatch did that too but after switching the dizzy it dont do that anymore...

Except not as bad but started when it was cold and raining, would crank the car fired up for half second the die cluster lights off, turn the key back the to on lights come back on and try to restart and it fires up but i have to revv her a bit to hold and she is rough idle for a few seconds?? any ideas

Re: car keeps dying when engine is cold?
Well, i just fixed CEL 6 & 22. My dumbass switched the plugs up backwards. Now that i fixed those problems, a new Cel popped up which is 65 (Secondary oxygen sensor). How can I fix that? My Si engine harness doesn't have a secondary o2 plug. Si's have their secondary o2 plug on the body. I dont think 2000 hatchbacks have their secondary o2 plug on the body
