Icon2 fully built JDM D15B

I have a EJ2 that I got about 2 months ago and its got a built D15b7 but I want to swap the engine for a JDM D15b. I was told I can keep the tranny I have on right now, which is a 2000 civic ex tranny with a lightened flywheel and 6puck clutch.

If I swap the engine what will I need, and what are some parts so I can fully build it to about 210hp? i need some items listed via: types of cams, rods, pistons, turbo kits, intakes, manifolds, headers, exhaust systems...basically an idea.

For 210hp on a d15b your best bet is boost. You could MAYBE hit 210hp N/A but your really going to be into this build. It's no small feet to even break 160whp N/A with a d-series.

Yes you can keep your trans. Like other have said the best way to get 210 whp is with boost on that motor. I have one in my coupe with bolt ons and its pretty slow.

I've seen a few nice all motor single cams but they only made like 150-160whp. I would out the jdm d15 on bosst and call it a day.

or take the money you spend on boost and put it towards gearing. Its not hard to hit 160+ all motor, so add some sweet gearing into the mix and you got yourself a peppy street car for not alot of money. As for the build i would do as follows:

Stock rods and pistons. Mill the deck surface roughly .1" and head .04". Cam of your choosing be it crower, bisi, Comp, exospeed.... Edelbrock intake mani, if you can get it, a decent header like a bisi or SMSP and a 2.5" exhaust. Send your head to steve at CCC and than get a good tune. Its simple and should yeild great results. However, a better platform to build NA is a 1.6 block due to the stroke and rod length. They allow you to run a wide variety of pistons. The D15B is basically stick with stock unless you go custom or can find a set of PMS pistons
