D16Z6 Valve Adjustment
im wondering how do i kno if i need a valve adjustment .my boy told me dat i need one becase when u have the hood open and listen clearly u hear like a tinking noise but its not real loud its low..i think its cuz it has headers any help

When I had a z6 my valves ticked. So I adjusted them and it went away. It's one of the easiest engines to adjust valves on. The end.

Or get some vice grips, a 10mm deep socket, a flathead screwdriver, feeler gauge set, and do it yourself. There are write-ups all over the internet how to do this. Save your money and get smarter about cars.

If they are loose, you are loosing power since your valves aren't opening up 100%. You'd see better power, less vibration, and better gas milage. Less noise is a fringe benefit...
If you're not that skilled with motors, you may want to take it in. It's not hard, but neither is overtorquing and snapping a lifter. Not a fun thing to fix.
