2004 civic lx manual transmission installation
This is... from a newbie that was damaged and tossed around by Honda... and decided to take his car back and buy a used trans and install it himself with some friends...
What type of special out of the ordinary tools will I need? Anything needed for the fly wheel?
What about to align the clutch?
I am currently going to a yard to buy a 2002 honda civic lx manual trans.. I believe this will go into my 2004 civic lx..
Any advice? I just bought the Helms...
Many Thanks!

You won't need to worry about alining the clutch or any tools for the fly wheel unless your changing the clutch/fly. But depending on how hard you drive your car and how many miles are on it if you have the tranny off you might want to replace the clutch. If you do you will need a clutch alinement tool. As far as removing the tranny I'm guessing just your basic hand tools socket set/torque wrench. I haven't dropped any out of a this gen civc but I have out of others and they all seem similar. I would suggest if your doing it at home that you have an extra set of hands to help you and pick up a copy of the Shop Manual just incase you get stuck and don't know what goes were that can be a real life saver.

ive pulled the tranny on my 03 ...i would recomend while its out do a clutch kit (w/ release bearing, pilot bearing) the only thing i would add to ^^^ is the ball joints on the lower control arms (you have to drop the subframe) ...so a ball joint puller
