I used rywire to modify my harness to fit a dohc zc (and they did the mpfi swap) for about $200.

The only problem is that they extra wires needed in the harness to connect to the crank shaft sensor were not there when they returned it. /shrug. just check with them about that.

PM7 ecu also.

Perhaps i've miss-interpreted your post, but i didn't think the obd1 dohc ZC needed extra wires for the CPS, seeing as it resides inside the distributor as apposed to the OBD0 ZC which sits on the right hand side of the exhaust cam?

installing the OBD1 DOHC ZC in the 88 DX is not much different than installing a D16Z6 in the 88 DX

first, you need to convert the DX engine harness from DPFI to MPFI - use the injector wiring from the OBD1 ZC in making the conversion - you won't need a resistor box - you just need to add the wiring from the ECU for the 2 additional injectors and the CYLinder sensor (which is in the distributor on the OBD1 DOHC ZC)

you need an OBD1 ECU - the factory ECU for the DOHC ZC is the P29 which is the best one to use - you can also use a P06 from 92-95 DX, but it is best to have it chipped with the P29 maps - you could also use the OBD1 PR4, but it isn't going to work as well

you need an OBD0 to OBD1 ECU jumper harness and you will need to put the distributor connector from the ZC engine harness onto the DX harness

you will need to swap the driver's side engine mount from EF car onto the ZC - you may have to modify the timing cover slightly

you need to extend the wires for the MAP sensor, which is on the firewall in the DX, to reach the ZC MAP which is on top of the throttle body

you will need to remove the connector for the cooling fan switch (located on the thermostat housing on the ZC) from the ZC harness and install it on the DX engine harness (the DX cooling fan switch is on the back of the block)

if the hydro transmission you have is the DOHC ZC transmission, you will need mounts to install it in the DX - you will also need the ZC intermediate shaft and the larger axles - if the intermediate shaft is the OBD1 ZC type with male end where the axle fits, you will need a custom driver's side axle - the passenger side axle is 90 and up Integra with dust rings removed

by the way, the DOHC ZC won't pass smog in Calif

Or you can block off the hole in the throttle body, and just use the existing one on the firewall.

The information is always good for people who search though. Not that anyone does anymore.
