Replacing intake manifold gasket...
So my OEM gasket has blown out and my car is idling at like 1500 rpm.
Are there any tricks or tips to installing a new gasket? Do I need any hondabond or anything?
BTW, it's a '99 EX and I'm putting a Hondata gasket on it.

Just pull off the intake mani, throw on some hondabond or some other type of gasket sealing stuff if you want, not too much though, and put it back on, pretty straight forward.

LOL, agreed. All I ever use for IM gaskets etc is OEM. How much do HonData gaskets go for anyway? Probably much more than its worth.
OEM Honda IM gasket for you 99 EX is part number 17105-P2P-A01, probably can get it for like $19-$23 from the dealer.

I know... old thread. Just curious if anyone has used the myhondahabit intake manifold gasket. I have the stud kit, but am ready to swap out my hondata gasket for something that won't bulge into the runners. They claim their is a thermal gasket too, but not made of plastic.
