My plans consist of:

motor swap to a B16
Complete interior swap to newer updated parts... maybe trying to work in a Si cluster
Lower of course
16" wheels(currently rocking 12's)
Either two tone green and black paint or black cherry
Shave all un-needed light, side marker and molding
Recess both bumpers in about 2.5"
And i'm sure alot more

If anyone knows of anywhere I may be able to find another car to get parts from or a wrecked one that I could cut some body parts from please let me know... in need of a section of the rear pass. quater

what's to happen to the old engine? I have no room, but wierd old crap rocks! Didn't those civics have some special combustion chamber or something?

Not sure what to do with the motor yet... Do you want it... Not sure about the special com. chamber... It does have a choke to start it and the motor will fire up just no power in that motor

Might wanna make sure and do some research before going and getting rid of your motor. CVCC models had rear exhaust and because of that the front crossmember sat right next to the engine. This means there's no clearance for whatever OMGVTAK motor's exhaust to wrap down around the front of the engine. Plus the frame rails aren't wide enough to accept even a B-series motor. You'll be cutting out huge chunks of them and then putting the motor in from underneath the car. Also plan on making custom halfshafts, unless you get lucky and the OG Civic's halfshafts pop into the OMGVTAK transmission, which I doubt.

OOOOORRR, you could do something that's actually cool. Like have the head flowed and ported. Titanium valve train parts. Radiused valve guides. High lift cam. Some big DOCE carbs, custom stainless header with 2.25 inch exhaust all the way back mandrel bent of course. High compression forged pistons and titanium rods. Lightened, balanced, etc etc. I think you know the deal... Those little engines are good high revvers. I've seen a couple that revved to 10,000RPM and put down over 175whp. Race engines of course, also non-cvcc 1200cc engines but just shows their potential.

Even an engine from an 81 Accord will drop in there. With some very mild engine work can see probably 125whp. Or score yourself an old Jackson Racing turbo kit for the old 81 Accord motors and put that setup in there.

Also why would you get rid of that old school interior? The wood panels? The kick *** gauge pod? That **** is rad, and hard to find. You should just ship it to me if you're getting rid of it!!!

I'm not changing all of the interior... just the seats, carpets and lossing the back seat...

Also I have seen these cars with new D and B motors in them so it can be done with some work and money... I agree the motor that is in it could be re worked and have plenty power for the little car but I haven't totally made my mind on the motor yet... I think it would look kick *** to pop the hood and no one expect a DOHC motor sitting in there... I have plenty of time to think of thing because my 99 civic has and still is taking a lot of my time nad money away from the CVCC...

A couple of things:

Please, please do NOT put 16" wheels on that car. That is so horrible looking.

Also, please quit calling your car a CVCC. First gen Civics came in two models...a 1200 and a CVCC. You have a 1200. You can tell by the hatch, hood, the side emblems, the steering wheel and the front grille that it is a 1200.

And lastly, if I remember correctly, the 81 Accord engine will not bolt up without some modifications. The 79-80, however, will. I have a 79 Accord 1.8L in my 79 CVCC (mine is a CVCC). Pics below of mine...

I know its not a CVCC but I just used it as a eye catcher... You cars look great... Wish mine looked that good.... Mine will be no where near stock like yours though...

They don't sell a rear window seal for your car. Nobody does. Good luck finding one - I've been looking for years.

All they (Scott's) has is the rear window seal for the trunk model cars.

That's weird. Just last year we got a set for all windows. Hatch.

That's interesting considering I've been inquiring with them every few months regarding a rear hatch seal for several years straight. They say they don't have one, have never made one, and don't plan on making one.

Keep in mind, I'm not talking about the "Hatch" seal. I'm talking about the REAR WINDOW seal on the hatch. Not the one that you can see when you raise the hatch that goes around the perimeter of the hatch opening.

If you are indeed speaking of the rear window seal, that's very frustrating considering they keep telling me they don't make it. Do you happen to have an invoice or a part number for it?
