Popping/clicking sound when clutch pedal is disengaged..help!!!!
ok...so all of a sudden..there is this loud POP sound when i start letting the clutch mpedal up from the floor. lets say it in nutral... i have the clutch pedal pushed to the floor... i let the pedal up...about half way...it "pop/clicks" one time..and somewhat loud. it never did this before...
any ideas please??!?! its a 99 civic si. stock b16a2.. itr tranny... could it be the throw out bearing getting caught on something when its disengaging?? slave cylinder? clutch pedal itself?? help please!!
also, u can feel the pop through the pedal.. but it SOUNDS like its coming from under the hood somewhere...
thnx!

Re: Popping/clicking sound when clutch pedal is disengaged..help!!!!
ok..im pretty sure its nothing to do with the tranny/clutch bc i can actually feel the pop through the pedal. im thinking maybe the clutch cable or braket on the the pedal itself near the firewall (inside the car)..not too sure tho. it stopped doing it after i parked the car for a while..then drove it..it was fine..then all of a sudden the popping came back. ****!

u mean the bolts that hold it to the firewall?? or that hold the lines into the cylinder? bc both of those are tight..
