Leaking brake fluid =[
So just the other day i was driving and all of a sudden my brake light went off but my E-Brake wasnt deployed and i could feel my brake gradually start sinking and i checked my brake fluid and it was almost all empty, so i added more and bled my brake lines and it worked for about 5 hours and the light went off again.
It kept going on and off for about 10 minutes then went completly solid.
Check my lines and they werent leaking.
any ideas on what i can do stop the leaking?
It might be my master cylinder im thinking?

Re: Leaking brake fluid =[
I would check the entire system for leaks but 18 of 20 times it's the Brake Master Cylinder. It corrodes from the inside from water ladened brake fluid and renders the machined piston bore useless. It will require replacement if everything else checks out.

To inquiry on what P said ---
Does that lead to the leak that is seen when brake fluid is in between the booster and master cylinder?

Don't buy the master cylinders from Autozone.
I've replaced 3 within a year from them for my '92 Mustang.
Don't get the refurbished ones.

Re: Leaking brake fluid =[
The fluid is making it's way past the Piston / Cylinder Bore seal and making it's way out past the Pushrod Seal.
In really bad cases, the Brake Fluid sometimes makes it's way into the brake booster; attacking the Vacuum Diaphram.
