Civic 91 spark plug wires keep popping up!!??
Hi guys,
I've got a question in regards to a problem I have been having with my spark plug wires.
For the last several weeks my plug wire on the number 3 piston keeps popping off the plug or "almost" off the plug because it does not stop the engine, just makes it run really rough. I have tried cleaning the cable and switching them around (at the cap aswell, of course) which worked ok untill I started driving hard and then I have the problem again.
So I was wondering if anyone knew what is happening and how I could fix it?
Thanks

are they the right plug wires? i know when i tried installing a6 plug wires on my y8 head they didn't want to stay on and i had to trim them to fit properly.
are the spark plug seals in good condition? if you're getting a lot of compression leakage it will lead to high crankcase pressure, and that pressure is going to find the easiest way out. is your valve cover vent thats supposed to be plumbed into the intake connected properly, or by chance is it plugged off?

sounds like you need to tighten the plug in that cyl. It might be loose and be leaking pressure and popping your plug wire off.
