"Blinking Key" dash light
Hey all,
Seacrched and found nothing. My problem I am having is that whenever I start my car, 01 LX sedan, my little green that looks like a key keeps blinking for the duration of time that my car is running. I have read the manual and it says to take it to the dealer to get the key reset. But it isn't affecting starting, nor affecting how the car runs. The only other thing I have noticed is that when I lock the car with the keyless remote, it doesn't honk on the second push of the lock button. I'm pretty puzzled here and any help would be appreciated.
thanks
ps. I am using the factory black key that came with the car, if it matters.

i asked the dealer last time it happened and they said maybe its because i have other keys that are also on the keychain and is causing some magnetic malfunction. if u have other keys, take it off and try. it worked for me every since

Re: (jdm em2)
it's for the immobilizer system that are on all the new honda's. basically there is a chip inside the key and the car reads that chip. it's pretty much ta RF id tag located inside the key.
if the car doesn't read the chip or if the wrong chip is there, the car won't start. it's an anti theft thing.
so what they are talking about is that the other keys on the chain are interfering with the reading with your key.
hope that clears up everything,
