Default Mig welder argon gas setting?? Anyone?

I borrowed my buddies licoin sp-135 and i need to know what to set the CFM to. just doing 20gu steel welding.

Yeah i know im just doing body work. My tig uses argon so im just gonna use that.

Im doing a tiny bit of body work should be ok with the argon tho ?

It will work. Seems like the "ideal" mix is 75/25 argon/cO2

15-20 seems to work great for most mild steel apps.

argon wont work well at all.. you need a mixed gas... 75/25..

as far as cfm settings, anywhere from 15-30cfm, depending on the wind factor, will work...

just like the mix wont work with the tig

I have heard of people using mig gas mixtures on tig before b/c thats all they had. It wasn't perfect but it was better than nothing...is this not the case?

just dont try welding with straight argon if gravity is gonna be pullin on the molten bead while welding..

like an overhead, or vertical bead.. flat should be okay... it just might lack penetration.

Yeah the argon was not pentrating properly. I just used the flux core wire splatters a bit but penitrates well. Ill just grind it down a bit on both sides. and prime and paint better.
