NSX vs s2000
I currently own a 1989 Honda Prelude Si. This car is not stock, but I realize it will never be enough. When I be come rich (lol), I plan to get something that can give me what I want. Though, I will always have the Prelude.
I am looking for rear wheel drive, and more power to start with. I can always deal with the weight. When comparing the NSX to the S2000, what are the advantages and disadvantages in these two vehicles. Because I'm in the NSX section I really want to hear more about this car. I honestly don't know as much about it as I do the S2000.

let me ask you this.
when do you anticipate on having enough money to afford a decent nsx? by decent, i mean you dont have to replace anything as soon as you buy it.
if you didnt know, the nsx keeps their value for a lot longer than the s2000 does. especially the ones in good condition.
and the whole $25k nsx myth, its possible, but im 99% sure the condition isnt that great.

Re: (NSXOTIC)
your comparing the ultimate of honda's achievment's in sports cars.
the s2000 is a very nice car but the nsx is hondas flagship car.
i mean that is technology that was handed down through motorsports to create the integra type r. it just depends on what you want

Re: (NSXOTIC)
To me, no car is better that a project car. I don't care what condition it is in, as long as the price matches. At least I am being honest about my money. A lot of people get online and act as a completely different person. I play music. That is all I do. The main reason for this thread is for me to find out more about the NSX. I will have the money to buy one of these cars in the near future. How I get the money is my business.

Re: NSX vs s2000 (ExpeditiousRacing)
you dont have to be "rich" to own either car.... you can get an S2K for like $15-17k and an NSX for like $25-27k.... so it comes down to how much of a car you can afford.... the s2000 is a fun car to drive and is a really good "drivers car" ( I used to have a spa yellow AP1 )... but from what I know about the NSX, it truely is THE every day exotic and hondas answer to ferrari...get the NSX if you can but dont worry if your wost case scenario is an S2000 you arent doing too bad friend
P.S. this might help! http://www.fast-autos.net/compare/?a=28&b=675

I've long held that the 25-27k NSX is a myth but for the past several months I've seen some decent examples sell in this price range. Could be the economy and the slow sales cycle of sports cars. Possible ideal time to buy if you have the money.

heres a PRIME example of a minty 1991 NSX, with ALL its maintenance done and the guy is asking $30k OBO.... most likely it should sell within the range I specified a good Nsx might go for.... its not that hard to find em.... just gotta look for the guy who actually wants to sell his and not let it sit forever w/o selling it

Re: NSX vs s2000 (HATCHBACK GORILLA!)
the 91 nsx is considered "entry level"
it is the oldest, and a HUGE part of the whole nsx population is made of 91s. sure the nsx is "rare", but theres a high possibility that an nsx you see is a 91.
that guy sounds like he just wants to get rid of it to make room for more carss. ask anybody who actually loves the car, will NEVER let it go for that price.

Re: NSX vs s2000 (NSXOTIC)
I see decent $25K NSXs on a regular basis. I am considering one now (local car) with a good owner history, headers, Tubi exhaust, nice rims, short gears, etc. for that price.

Pick that up Dave! As stated, I've seen them go for around 25-27k price a lot more recently than ever before and more suddenly as well.

Re: NSX vs s2000 (HondaKyle)
Those times vary greatly which, I guess, makes sense considering the driver and conditions would vary greatly as well.
But the laps look fairly respectable considering the company. Don't know why you'd consider the NSX overrated. But it's ok either way.
