Please Help ASAP... My clutch wont fully engage...
As the topic states I am having a problem with my clutch. I have a 98 4dr GSR with a B18C motor and a B16 tranny. The clutch doesn't want to engage all the way so I cant put the car into gear and if I start the car in gear it shakes like it is trying to move forward and makes a scrapping sound and I cant take it out of gear. I tried bleeding the clutch line and that didn't help at all. Please help me figure this out. Thank you.

Could the clutch be completely toast? If you replaced it... Did you install the pressure plate the correct way?

check for any fluid leaks from the CMC and the lines. If you source a leak, fix it. If you do bleed the lines, it takes awhile to get it right so you have a good pedal feel. This is important as you may likely have air in the lines, thus causing the problem. I had this issue, couldn't get it in gear, started in first and it would shudder forward as i started the car.

Im having a similar problem, but nothing is happening when the clutch pedal is pressed in. It just keeps going.
The car runs and will move but you i cant push the clutch in and stop, it just keeps on moving

that sounds like a broken spring on the clutch disc...did you hear **** rattling around? ...I would still pull it apart even if it is running right now, cause **** like that doesnt just happen and then go away...and when it acts up again it is going to be at the worst possible moment...it only takes 2 hours to pull it and verify that nothing is fukt

Re: (srmofo)
I didn't hear anything rattling in there but I am going to end up pulling the tranny to make sure everything is ok inside as soon as I find time, with the way my schedule is going that wont be till like november . Thanks everyone for your input.
