Default 2003 Accord V-6 Auto Turbo Kit Help

I am looking for a reasonably priced turbo for my car that won't damage my stock engine but will give me some well needed horsepower. Anyone have any idea where I could find a cheap one with anywhere from 6-9 lbs. of boost?

I don't really know what I'm talking about here but am I correct in assuming the turbo wouldn't hurt my stock engine?

I would forget that idea, your motor may survive but I would bet that the Autotrans would grenade sooner than later. The V6 has good get up and go for stock, the auto trans is barely enough for the stock output.

My buddy has a 98 civic hatch he has turbo'd and it's an automatic. I wondered the same thing a while ago before I even considered a turbo and he claims that Honda's auto transmissions are some of the toughest around

Talked to him a few minutes ago and he says trans. should hold up perfectly
Just trying to get all around feedback before doing something I might regret later

Thanks for the help

And btw does anyone know if the 2003 accord coupe and sedan grilles are the same fit? I.E. if i were to buy a sedan grille off ebay

Im just saying from personal experience, ive replaced quite a few V6 accord auto trannies. However if your car is low miles and the trans has been maintained then you might be ok either way adding boost will put the power into a range the trans was not designed for, good luck it should be pretty fast if you get it worked out

No, the grills are not the same. The grill on the coupe is much smaller. The grill on the sedan is small, but the one on the coupe is almost non-existent (looks like a tongue sticking out of it's mouth). If you check out the picture thread there are probably some examples.

Well it's been maintained fairly well and has always been serviced at Honda (If that makes any difference haha). I'm truly considering adding one and just keeping the boost to a minimal.

Before I do that I'm adding a Magnaflow dual exhaust which is on its way off ebay. Already have it cold air intake'd and I'm buying a performance chip for it as well just got to pick out one, not one of the ones where u have to ship out your ECU just about a 20hp gain cranked.

So hopefully once I do all that it will be fairly quick. And maybe the exhaust would help out the turbo.

And thanks on the grille part I wasn't a 100% sure but now I'm glad I didn't waste that 50 bucks on a 4dr grille

Those transmissions can't even take the stock power. I wouldn't even try to boost it IMO.
