JDM D15B VTEC DIZZY
What distributor does a JDM D15B use? its a 95 engine in a 92 CX. I'm not getting spark and I'm thinking this is my problem. I have replaced plugs, cap, wires, and rotor button. The cap and button are the only parts that were Z6. The spark plugs were a different part number than the Z6 and wires from a Z6 didn't fit.
I thought that the D15B and Z6 heads were identical, but I must be wrong.
What US parts are equivalent.

i'm not sure which us part you could use.. prob z6 if you have a tach
but... try replacing the igniter before the distributor. It's the small greyish thing you see wires connected to when you pull the cap off.

It's the same as the Z6/Z1/ZC. Having the wrong distributor wouldn't cause a no-spark condition. It causes the timing to be retarded even when adjusted to the max.

plugs stink of fuel. no spark whatsoever. Check engine light stays on. I ran it on my cx ecu for a few days. Changed to the D15B ECU and so spark since. Tried old ECU and still no spark....
