pressing brake=rpm raise
ok heres the deal- when my car is at idle i can press and release my brake repeatly and i will get about a 800 to about 1k raise in rmp.... i thought maybe it was just in my head but i have tried it several times and it always does same thing.. has anyone else ever noticed this? any ideas or solutions would be appreciated......

It's just normal. Pressing a brake pedal draws vacuum from the intake manifold thus rpms go higher a bit.

thanks...i was just checking- my timing belt broke a fews weeks ago and i have to replace valves, get the head shaved and replace the gaskets and since then its been one thing after another....first head gasket that was put in leaked- now i think thats fixed but noticed the cam seal possibly leaking....valves were adj too tight at first and my idle was crappy fianlly got that right i think.....anyways thanks again for peace of mind
