Default Dash rattle

Going to Honda tomorrow evening to see if they are going to fix the rattle in my instrument cluster. With me luck!

Let us know what they do for you. I think a majority of us have rattles coming from our dashes too

I've got rattles coming from the dash, the door panels and center console.

Go Honda!
(my 06 Civic coupe was the same damn way)

Just did an 1,400 km drive this weekend, more of a squeak than rattle coming from the left side of the dash. If it was not for the road noise it really might have been more bothersome. Taking the Fit in for a fix, this and the recall on the driver side wiring under the carpet area. Looking seriously at adding some matting to deaden the road noise.

Welp, going to Honda today at 2.. I have a feeling they're not going to do much about it.

I might have to get a number to corporate Honda.

Update:

Went to honda, rode around with the tech.. being my luck the instrument cluster wasn't rattling... about an hour later they said they adjusted the AC/Heat control cables because they were touching each other and rattling.

Off I go, I turned on to the road to drive home... and BUZZZZ comes from my instrument cluster.

I'll be back when I get my next oil change to see if we can't solve this mystery of the rattling dash.

Not trying to jack the thread but I have some weird noise coming from the front of my car. At first it sounded like a growl when shifting from 1st to 2nd but now it sounds like a slight rattle... it's starting to happen whenever i rev past 3k and let off quickly. I wonder if it's those ac cables you mentioned. Could be anything.

Interesting. I'm gonna go back to honda next week sometime. I was driving down a bumpy road and heard it rattle again, I pinpointed the rattle to the instrument cluster cover.. when I hold the top of the instrument cluster cover with my hand the rattle goes away.

I think my pass door panel rattles too...

Hopefully I can get all these rattles worked out. Honda was very helpful today, they told me to come back as soon as I heard another rattle.

I have been lucky enough to not have any rattles yet. But at work we get them in all the time. When we called tech-line to see if there was any common fix they said no. We ended up removing the dash and found all kinds of things touching each other so we foam taped everything that was touching. That car has not come back with any noises.

I bought a 2008 Accord EX neary 4 months ago. (3200 mi). I have very bad rattles. Sounds like the passenger door, but not sure. Could very easily be in the dash. The rattle sound sort of echoes around the interior on rougher surfaces, making it hard to tell where it comes from. I will try pushing on the instrument cluster. (haven't tried that yet)

I drove a 1990 Accord for 17 years - never a rattle or other major issue.

This makes taking highway trips EXTREMELY aggravating. I have a nearly new car sitting in my driveway which I don't even want to drive !!!!

The rattles started about 1000 miles ago. Up till then, I loved the car.

I have an appointment this Tuesday. Will let you know I it goes.

I just turn up my music very loud. My dash rattles mostly in the morning when it's cold. It seems to rattle less on hot days. I suspect that the dashboard changes size with temperature causing it to rattle more in cold weather.
