OBX ITBs
#2
That's really wierd...Did anyone know OBX made ITBs?
Edit: After searching further, I found this : http://www.obxracingsports.com...=1456
It looks like the b-series ITBs are only for B16 and ITR heads, no GSR and no LS. At $700.00 for the list price I wonder how they perform and how well thought out/engineered they are.

Re: (JCushing)
I'm not familiar w/companies that produce ITBs so I can't visually compare those to anything but I'm certain those are just reverse engineered. Whether or not they work depends on who was copied and if the "engineers" understood what was being copied/its function.
I have no absolute proof of this, just going off of previous products badged w/the OBX name and my manufacturing exposure.

OBX & Ebay! A great combination!
When looking for quality components for my all motor builds, OBX is the first manufacturer on my list! Once I have decided on a part to include in a project, Ebay is the first place I look to source it!

Re: (logg_frogg)
I just noticed something neat about the OBX ITB's.
It looks like the tops of the velocity stacks can unbolt which would allow you to easily change runner length or more importantly build a sheetmetal manifold around them to be used with a FI application.
On the down side, it also lets OBX build cheap parts with less complicated machining involved.

for anyone that is planning on purchasing a set, I manufacture a an adapter that allows you bolt on a Honda TPS sensor to these Toyota ITB's
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by GUILOTINE »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">FS:
I machined a few Honda Throttle Position Sensor Adapters for 4AGE/AE111 Individual throttle bodies. Use your factory Honda 3-wire TPS instead of the Toyota 4 wire sensor. These are identical to the discontinued A-Sport adapters that are nearly impossible to find. They are direct bolt on and you will not have to make any modifications to your factory TPS sensor. The adapters are machined out of billet 6160 aluminum which is guaranteed against corrosion and breaking.
Perfect for Toda ITB kits which utilize over-bored Toyota throttle bodies.
The price is $41.50 shipped USPS . I accept Paypal and USPS Money orders
Thanks for looking

Re: (7rrivera7)
well there may be different sizes but they dont say what they are and theres no options to select different sizes when you try and buy them from the site. i imagine they are just sized differently based on the application you select.
how much are these actually going for anyway?

700 bucks.
i think the good thing is, the results arent a mystery. i am about to search and see how the TODA ITBs do.

Re: (Bury Your Dead)
performance results at full open can be easily marred by sticking, binding, non sealing throttle plates and poor runner shape/design.
