192 degree thermostat in 94 Accord
Hi,
I'm thinking about changing the thermostat in my Accord and going with a hotter temp. Anyone put a hotter thermostat in their car? Any issues?
Thanks, Paul

hmm... for the life of me I just cant recall the stock thermostat temp
I know in the manual it says something like the thermostat is supposed to start opening at ~170 and be fully opened by 194 in the thermostat test.

Just talked to a parts store. 180 is standard. They carry Stant thermostats and I can go up to a 195.

For your best bet, stick with stock temp, unless you have major engine work done to your car you wont be doing any good going up or down, honda spent a lot of money figuring out what temp the head and block should be at while at operating temp, why change it

Following up - I had a 195 Super Stat by Stant put in my car. The heat is toasty warm now.
