Whistle sound???
Hello,
My wife has a 2007 Civic LX sedan. When the car is cold or has been sitting outside all night (on a summer night ), when she accelerates she hears a high pitched whistle noise coming from the passenger side. After it warms up, it goes away. This car is brand new, has 6,200 miles on it.
Anyone heard of this? Can it be fixed?
Thanks.

Is the intake on that side of the R18? Could be the intake. Sometimes it's more noticeable. Sometimes you just aren't paying attention. Thats why it only happens 'sometimes'

Just for giggles, try having her put the windows all the way up again on that side. I'm serious. With temperature change, The windows sometimes don't seal all the way. If you raise the windows on the side of the offending whistle, it should go away.

Re: Whistle sound??? (originalg00kster)
could it be a secrect turboed r18 prototype mugen was working on til they gave up and shipped it out without taking out the turbo? It's only at 6k miles, could always tell the dealer to fix it. I have never had that in my ex.

actually i have an 06 civic ex coupe and in the summer time i hear the whistle to but it is only when i put on my ac... if she is driving with the ac on a little bit there will tend to be a little bit of a whistle noise.... and the intake is on the drivers side
