Its a friends car so Im a little confused. Do i jump the little blue connector above the glove box and check engine light will flash? Or is it like the civic / integras where you get an led? I pulled the carpet back to find no led

very confused. Thanks for any help,

Just turn the key over, peel back the carpet under the passenger side.
Then there is a hole through the cover over the ECU, just look at the hole and it will blink, over, and over, count the blinks!

I think 90 was the last year on the Accords to have LED. My 91 LX you jump and the check engine light will proceed to blink your code.

I think it stores codes for up to 10 or 15 'running cycles' aka. key run/off ... don't quote me on that

if your having trouble finding the jumper let me know it took me 2 hours to find it the first time, and the haynes manual was useless, there was like 4 guys looking for it eventaully found it under the kick panel, damn near in the door

Ok finally got back to working on it.

Code 17 = VSS

Is the Vss behind the speedometer?

Also The "S" (speed shift light) is flashing 4 times. Is this another code?

Thanks for any help

Probably a bad speed sensor. It's on the transmission.
