Twin Turbo Accord Question.
Accord Gurus ...
I come from Honda Civics and Integras. But as I round out complete another Civic project I start to desire something new to build.
Recently I read an interesting article in Honda Tunning Magazine. It has inspired me to want to build an Accord.
They are saying, grab a 1998-2002 V6 Accord, use a J35 bottom end with J32A2 (Type S) pistons and J30A4 heads. And then it appears they are suggesting taking the J30A4, J32A3, or new J35 (Odyssey, Ridgeline, RL) exhaust manifolds to twin turbo the setup.
I may have misread but thats what I got out of the article. It was a bit confusing to me because I am not yet accustom to all the "lingo" associated with Accords.
Was wondering Accord communities thoughts on such a build and would like to hear from people that have done this already. Or even just point in the right direction on how to search achived material on this. I'm not sure even what search terms to use.

it seemed to make sense but they were talking about the design of the one piece exhaust manifold that takes the four runners down to one runner ...
"the exhaust primaries are cast into they head and exit via a single exhaust port ... we realized honda basically gave us a turbo manifold ... a simple adapter plate is all you need to bolt a turbo to each side of a V6 series"
sounds like an interesting build. but now that ive read for several hours ... couldnt you just take the new J35 3.5L and use the Acura CL Type S heads? Maybe this is what they were saying as stated above.

ya after searching quite a bit through accord archives. its seem like twin turbo accord is uncharted territory and to alot of peoples comments blasphemous.
unless someone chimes in with more info i think im going to write to honda tuning to find out more info on the car they had talked about.

hum - now that is the 4ci twin turbo - which is an interesting concept.
how did that turn out?
im going to have to borrow some honda books from my dealership and do some studying it seems.

Just running a smaller turbo in series to spool the larger one. Thats almost Supra territory. Or Semi Trucks!

wait are you guys saying that is actually hooked up? it didnt look like it from the other bay shot... looks like he just sat it on top of there to mess with your heads... if its really functional and helps though. as for the v6, it seems very feasable and i think i saw one on cardomain the other day..

It has been done and there is currently I believe one car in the states with it but its a 7th gen , not a 6th. It also isnt running since its also a show car.
Honda Tuning has a great suggestion but it seems like they havent seen the engine bay of a 6th gen Accord V6. Go look inside one and you'll think twice about a TT kit in there. You can STS TT it but why?
You can probably clear the turbo in the rear but the front is gonna be a issue. Youll need a slim fan and then some more clearing depending on what turbo you pick. Also if you start off with a 6th gen, 98-02, you end up with a crappy auto tranny which doesnt take any abuse or normal driving. You'll have to swap out to a 6spd from the Acura's and possibly newer Accords.
I can kinda point you in the right direction for all this but im not allowed to mention other websites so I cant link you there.

I've never heard of the 6th gen trannys being notoriously bad. Is this true, even with normal driving habits & a stock engine? What usually goes bad on them?

Which leads me to say why not try the new v6-6spd accords of the 03-05 genre? The 6speed tranny is already very solid and so is the engine. The engine bay is probably bigger and if you swap some parts, you've got it. Racingtechnologyco is already developing a kit, as they already have a near flawless one for the 4cyl.

2003-2005 does seem like a simpler solution. The engine bay is bigger.
Went to dealership the other day and just stared at the engine bay for awhile.
Salespeople kept getting sketchy as to why im staring at the engine bay so long LOL.

My buddie went through 3 trznny in 3 years on a 6th gen..and all he had was a mild buiold with a 75 shot.....honda auto trannys generally dont like abuse.....you can do the 6 speed conversion but I heard thats pretty pricey..but Im in for info also

my stock tranny was slipping when my motor blew 
that made me get a swap. I love my J32A2 so far, specially the 6 speed and blower... twin turbo has been done to a 7th gen but never seen a dyno chart. They used 2 gt28r
