Does anyone make a good looking (close to stock) front bumper that will fit a big intercooler. a stock bumper will not fit. For an EG chassis.

tedious? it's plastic, it cuts like butter. It's a lot easier than making some pos fiberglass bumper even fit right, not to mention the surface prep and paint work needed.

I took a utility knife and about 5 passes, took all of 30 minutes. It'a alot easier and cheaper than buying, painting, and still having to cut a aftermarket bumper. I was under the inmpression the OP didn't know what types of IC's could actually fit behind a stock bumper and would save him some money and time.

I cut right at that line. Use a sharp utility knife and make a bunch of slow clean passes all the way around till its all the way through. If you use a die grinder or other powered saw it tends to melt the bumper as you cut and looks rough.

Re: (boostedcivicsir)
Ok, i talked to Phillip, he wants to run a 24x12x4.5" core, and he has a full race divided top mount with 2 44mm gates. The gates stick out past the core support a little, so fitting a 4.5" thick core would leave you with nothing on the bottom part. So, what he's looking for is a bumper with some more clearance across the bottom lip. Anybody seen anything?

Re: (tony1)
it took me FOREVER to get this to fit like that. i spent a whole hell of a lot of time mounting the intercooler to get it to fit. and as much as i didnt want to do it, i mad to ""modify" my full race manifold to get one of the wastegates to position a little differnt so that the intercooler would fit the way it did. i even went as far as modifying the headlights to position the ic that way.
as far as a 4.5 core....i havnt seen any bumper that sticks out far enough to accept that. i'd think that the core its self would be fine....i'd just imagine the end tank/charpe pipe area would be the problem. could you do a dual back door sorta deal? i guess 4 inch DP woudlnt allow for any movement of the radiator.

Looks like the bottom lip on your bumper is less than 1" deep Joe, is it? If it is, then an inch thicker core wouldn't fly, assuming your ic is back as far as it can go. I can make the tanks fit, just have to come out and back instead of just straight out.

does that deep of an IC fit on an integra easily or is it still a PITA?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yeah, i have a 3.5" core and i moved it really far forward to keep plenty of space behind it for airlow out of the core, i could easily fit a 5.5" core!
