My odometer stopped working - any idea? Is there a fuse or module for this?

It worked for a while, then it would stop and start - it finally just stopped all together.

Any help would be appreciated?

Is your speedo also working intermittently?, or just the odometer?

Just the odometer - it was weird - it would work for say 100 miles and when it was gonna turn (000), it would stop....then it might start working again -but for the last 4-5 months it just does not work

The people you bought it from broke it when they went in there and rolled back the miles before they sold the car to you.

Maybe. I've taken out gauge sets where the speedo was broke and tried to see if I could roll the odometer back to zero, and it would be very very hard to roll back the odometer and then reassemble the cluster so that it would function again. It could just be that it got stuck, sometimes the gears can bind up, especially if a bunch of numbers are turning at once, like 99999 to 100000. What's the odometer currently reading?

and then you can't keep track of your maintenance schedule and can't legally sell the car unless you check "actual mileage not known and you have to disclose that to the buyer of the car
It's really a bad deal all around, why do you think they put odometers in cars in the first place?

try pushing the key into the maintenance indicator reset slot in the speedometer. I had reset mine one day, and I was driving a 300 mile trip and half way up, the odometer stopped working. Finally I remembered that I had pushed the key into the maintenance indicator reset, so I pushed the key in and really shoved it in. It started working after that. Apparently, it was not pushed in properly.

I had the same problem, i just pushed the reset button on the odometer, maybe 5 or 6 times really hard and it started working again, i havnt any problems from it since. It prob. just got stuck or jammed or something.

get ur dash out, unplug all the plugs.....on the biggest plug, i think a middle there is blue wire with a little white line running on its side, thats the wire most people put a switch on to turn miles back on and off, mayby when the sold u it they did not reconnect that wire back correctly...trace it down a bit till u find a cut, and see if its loose, if it is, just retapa and connect better...that should do the job...most cars with prior milage "tap in" have this problem....the rpms and light on odometer work, but the speed gage nor miles are moving, so do that first...its literally a 5 min job

Nah- I have owned the car since it had 30K on it - now it has 115K - so I doubt that is the case - but thanks for your concern

I tied this and it worked!!!
