nope, that header will not replace the cat. only RH i know that replaces the cat is the Toda. your stock exhaust will bolt right onto the header. why bother getting larger piping if the muffler will restrict it as well? seems like a waste.

not quite sure what you mean here? most, if not all race headers eliminate the cat. the only header that replaces the cat with another high flow one is the mugen. both the toda and dc header replace the cat with a flex pipe, thus eliminating it.

What are you talking about buddy? DC Race Headers eliminate the cat... as with most if not all race headers. Race headers are called race headers because it eliminates the cat. Shorty Headers end right at the cat which is what I think your thinking of.
With your exhaust system you could definitely upgrade to a larger diameter pipe. What diameter exhaust piping were you planning on going with?

i wouldn't but it, my DCRH Ceramic just cracked on me today, i even have the energy suspension motor mout inserts that are recommended for not cracking... they give a good power gain but they crack really easy, maybe u should try DCRH stainless steel, toda, or SSR header! if u do buy the DCRH ceramic then make sure u put the motor mount inserts in right a way, they eliminate wheel hop!
sorry if its not wat u wanted to hear, just dont want n e body to end up like me!

i have an 06 type s with a ss dcrh and stock exhaust, and i love it. i don't think i'll ever get an aftermarket exhaust because it only adds 4-6 whp, plus i don't really want a loud exhaust. if you have an 02-04, look into replacing your exhaust with a 05-06 stock unit. you can find them here or on clubrsx.com. if you want a louder exhaust note however, you can go with one of many available aftermarket cat-backs.
