Pic request. I need some pictures or diagrams of where the hoses go. Please help!!!
So I have been in the process of swapping my engine, and I am all ready to put stuff back together, and I have no idea what hoses go where, and it sucks. I really don't want to put hot water hoses where vacuum lines go thus why I need the pictures.
The engine is a d16y8 with the intake manifold off of a jdm d15b, which apparently really looks like an HX manifold, so pictures of that may work too. It is going into my DX, so if anyone has something like this setup, or can help please do. I am stuck until I can figure out where these hoses are supposed to go! Thank you in advance. You guys have really been helping me through this, and hopefully this will be the last time during this swap.

Look under your hood it might still have the sticker. Or in the Helmes/haynes manual and they have vacuum hose diagrams

The sticker is not under my hood, it is the catalyst sticker. And in the haynes manual it shows the dx, but it is one picture that doesn't show well enough, and i don't have the y7 in my car, so it doesn't really help too much.
bump for some real pics so i can get this bitch fired up tomorrow!

Yup. I am in the same boat. I am putting a y8 head on my d15b7 block. And if that wasnt enough, its an intake manifold off of an automatic car. Now I have to go swap throttle bodies and if that doesnt work the i have to swap intake manifolds. Its getting to be a pain. But needless to say I made my own odb2->odb1 distributor wiring harness instead of buying the one from rywire.com. Sorry for thread jacking, but if I find anything about those hoses or I get mine working otnight or tomorrow I will post up pics.

damn, I should have gotten one of those instead of the haynes. It didn't have all too good info under the cooling pages. But whatever, it all worked out now. Now I just hope the car works, hahaha

well I was using that diagram against what I had, but there were still some hoses that didn't quite match up. Sorry if I don't know what anything's name is, but I will try to explain what some things are that I need help with. With the big bypass hose that looks like a short u, and it is fat, there is a small hose connection right there as well, I don't know where that goes. And then on the back of the manifold there is a fitting that attaches to the brake masater cylinder hose, but then there are two really small hoses right there too, and they are really small, so I don't know where they go either. There are probably a couple others, but those are the main ones that come to mind. So I guess I am asking for more pictures, sorry to inconvenience, but I believe that is all that is keeping me down.

ok, so i just finished getting the 96-00 manual and i found the d16y8 cooling hoses diagram which is the picture below..now, for the little hoses that you were talking about that are on the back of the intake manifold, i think it might be for the Purge Solenoid that is pictured on top...good luck..
