Default Cheap Auto Zone muffler???

OK I recently got a new muffler for my car a Cherry Bomb Turbo 2 muffler..(not a glasspack!). It is made by the same company, anyways it was like $21.00 or something, SUPER CHEAP, it has a 2.5" inlet and the same size outlet. Looks good IMO, but I was wondering about sound quailty. I have a custom catback..2.5" piping to a Pro #1 canister style muffler. No resonator. It is loud and UGLY!!! I am going to get this Turbo 2 put on soon. I have a Tanabe Mid pipe for a CRX that has to lenghted for the Civic, I will be running a CAT and the Tanabe has a resonator on it, What do you think this application will sound like...BTW this Tubro 2 muffler is a oval style and looks really close to the ES Oval muffler, with no BLING,BLING.

HELL YEAH!!!!!! i got that muffler, but the difference its that i didnt get it @ autozone. i got it at my old job place......
anyways..... that exhaust will quiet ur car a lot...... i take my rear section and my car its loud as hell., and with the tmuffler its quiet.....sounds good between 750-3000 rpms....... after that stays quiet, but offering a hi-flow carasteristic..... its very good for the air flow..... IMO its a good muffler, but too quiet. i want something louder..... maybe u can sell me ur muffler jejejeje

Yes it is the whole muffler. I got mine for $21.54 with a Lifetime warranty.

What are you talking about? This is a good cheap muffler which will increase back pressure in turn making it quieter, But less then stock so it will flow good. Have you had on of these, is that why you feel you have to talk ****?

Way to put the "Shut Up" on him...... I think he's mad because he bought some ricer muffler at Pep-boys for $150 and now everyone makes fun of him. Sheeeeeeit $20 beans for something that may be a little better than stock is fine in my book, Much better than paying $400 beans for a fart can that makes things worse! Then again what would I know about anything?

I don't know about anyone here but I put a es muffler custom cat back
only cost me 150
50 for piping and 100 for muffler
well worth it!
It is quiet and the noise is great when rpms are high

Wonder how it performs/sounds? I always read on another board guys were going with the dynomax turbo muffler and custom piping.

I got my 5 Zigen axle back with custom piping for about $200 bucks, and I thought I got a good deal

the brand i got was a
flowtech-raptor, in 2.25

yeah its cheap but i dont want a fart can or did not have money for a Es oval i needed something cheap to get the job done.

i bought it for 20bux
got the pipes done.

quiet as hell cant here a damn thing at all. i get on it you can tell but only a little works good

I had one of them turbo mufflers on my crx, it was really quiet. Just put on a magnaflow straight through oval with 2.25" piping and feels a whole lot stronger from 3500 rpm to redline. Its still quiet by using a 16" resonator in the mid section.

Magnaflow straight-thru can be had for around $50.

i just had it installed...

got the $19.98 muffler from advance auto... it was item # 17713 i THINK....

anyway, i also got a 20" or so long cherry bomb from autozone... another $20

used 2.25" piping... crush bent.

no catalytic convertor.

piping and installation was $70....

sounds just a little louder than stock
but JUST slightly.... but it's very quiet, inside the cabin especially.... i'm very happy with it thus far...

Nice, I might go out and get a long cherry bomb to replace my short resonator.
