I can't wait until these go to production and find out what the price is going to be. What kind of power and how efficient would something like this be? It looks pretty promising though

they have 2 kits coming out. a 5lb and 10lb kit. The dyno for the 10lb kit is at 158hp to the wheel. I was lucky enough to get a ride in it. The car just pulls and pulls. It feels amazing.

The kit is priced. $3500 for 5lbs and $4995 for 10lbs. The Titanium header retails seperately at $1195. It was unveiled at SEMA on Monday. The Jackson Racing Fit was also on display outside in the front. Expect to see kits shortly. Over 125 orders were placed in advance at the show.

If it only hit 15's I wouldnt buy the 10 lb. I'd hope for 15's out of the 5 lb. Linear boost ftw.

160 to the wheels in a 2400lb car? That should be low-mid 14s if not better

not exactly, it doesnt use a compressor wheel like a centrifugal, it uses a weird kind of oscilating element inside the housing. It's supposed to have the efficiency of a centrifugal with a really broad powerband and good top end.

Ok, riddle me this. Why would you spend $5k on a kit like this, when you can buy a Type S K20 for around $4500, and spend about a grand (or two) more, and have something that puts out around 200whp? You would still be able to do allot more with a K20 swap. I don't see the advantages with this kit. Am I missing something?

Better fuel economy plus the feeling of hte car really. It's more 'tossable' and tiny than the RSX which makes it fun like the old CRXs were. That feeling is appealing ot a lot of people.
Plus people 'feel' they can fork out 17 grand for the car and spend 4k on it down the road more feasibly than buy the 21k car outright. Even though it will end up costing the same

I think because not everyone's interested in going in a straight line and this kit will up the power by a respectable amount w/o compromising the Fit's main strongpoint -- excellent balance and handling.

can you confirm that you can put a k20 in a fit for $6500 or less? I don't see that happening for some reason . . .

Another reason is resale value. It would be easily possible to remove the JR supercharger kit before selling the car. Even if it's still installed, the car would not be as questionable as one with a K-series swap.
At least at this point, I'd trust a good supercharger kit install much more than I'd trust someone cutting and welding the car's unibody to install a K-series engine. That may change if someone makes good K-series mount kits, but it doesn't change the fact that a car with an engine swap appeals to a very limited audience.

This is what makes me enjoy driving the Fit so much. It feels like a CRX that's MUCH safer and has a lot more room.

Actually the torque curve is pretty linear just not flat. Yes a nice flat torque curve would be awesome but at least this kit produces power that comes on in a predictable manner with no sudden spikes or dips. Also of note is not only does it make more power period it also appears to hold onto it's torque for about 500rpms longer before dropping off. If you look at the stock graph torque starts falling off at around 5,000rpms. With the supercharger it doesn't start running out of breath until around 5,600pms. Than in itself can make a pretty big difference.
