Default DOHC ZC 1.6L What parts do I need to upgrade.

Thanks to everyone that helped with my past questions but heres a new one. I want to beef up my Dohc ZC internaly. What are the best parts to run and where can i find them? The car will normaly be used for a DD but i want it fast enuff to beat my buddies that are all pushin alot of HP. I would also like to run a small turbo too, so keep that in mind before suggesting parts. The car its going in is a 89 CRX si. If the pm6 ecu can be used from my crx it would be nice since its already chipped.

The chip in my pm6 is a Mugen, the red line is 8200 rpms, and i dont know exactly what else it does.

Get rid of the chip first off. Its prolly doin more harm than good, and the chances of it really being a mugen are super slim. Get a PG7?? i belive thats the teg ecu.

Yes, get a PG7.

Internal upgrades are kinda pointless unless your making it stronger for boost. If so, Pistons and rods should work wonderfully.

ZC rods aren't so great, look into upgrading with B18A/B rods, they are much more stout, many racers use them in "d" seires engines.

BOTTOM END components

connecting rods
88-91 Civic/CRX Si 1.6L
But any D-series 1.6L rods will work for upgrading.

Pistons
88-89 Integra OEM
There are many companies that offer ZC specific Pistons now, so Aftermarket is there.

Main & Rod bearings and thrust washer bearings
88-91 Civic/CRX si 1.6L

Piston Rings
88-91 Civic/CRX // 86-89 Integra

here ya go......

Dont rev that **** to 8200 rpm for 2 reasons:

1. Your engine will blow up

2. Your peak power is at 6800

Get a good tune and run more boost. Rinse, repeat.
