Will ITB's clear hood with a K20/K24 motor in a EK?
I am in the process of building a K series motor with a K20 head and K24 block. I am debating to go with TWM ITB's, but unsure if they will clear the hood. I have a 2000 EK and I don't want to cut in to the hood. Has anyone tried a k20/k24 build and ran itbs? If they don't clear, I am going to stick with k20 intake manifold and just intake. Please advise. Thanks HT members!

Yes they will clear, but you do have to cut a 1.5 inch x 1.5 inch square on the inside skeleton of your hood so that your fuel rail will clear with the ITB's.

Looks like a waste of motor unless he get some screens to drive on the street. Its real cute to the fans but not worth the risk of sucking a rock in those puppies.

he asked if it would clear right? i was just showing him some pics of how it sits in a EG, maybe he can get a idea on it, EK bays are prolly differnet, just trying to help him out.

word, very true, i just havent seen a Kseries ITB in a EK, i have seen it in a EG and Pacmans CRX, both had custom hoods for the ITBs, was just assuming it was the same. I guess just see how much lower the motor sits in the Ek bay.

yea thats wat i have told him before, he used to have lil screens or some **** on them, but when he went to prostreet just to get some pulls done, they killed 30hp took them off, and gained it back, but he says hes not worried about it *shrugs*.

I'm sure hybrids prices are competitive, gotta factor in the shipping charges and ship time (customs), especfially since they are the sole US distributor.

Actually you can't buy them direct as all US orders must go thru Hybrid Racing. There are a few steps that we complete here in the US for the bodies to work properlly.
If anyone has any questions about Clockwise products please email me at will@hybrid-racing.com.
Thanks,
Will
