Honda Radio Unlock Code!!
Hi, everyone. I've got a 1998 Honda Accord LX V6. I changed the battery, and my radio locked up. Does anyone know the code to reset it? Thank you so much in advance; I've been without music for a while, and it's killing me!

Sorry to tell you but all the codes are different, If you get lucky maybe someone works with Honda here. Try calling Honda, sweet talk them maybe you can get it for free . You'll need to have your serial number off the radio, and identification of ownership of the car.

they look it up in the computer... they do it for me for free, some ppl have said that their stealership was trying to charge them 80 bucks for it. all they need is the serial number from the bottom of the deck, but then they will ask for proof of ownership like tony said...

Re: (cpmike)
if you're not the first owner, you can check the owners manual to see if the previous owner wrote it down.
Thats where I found the code written by the original owner of mine.
Just an idea

Re: Honda Radio Unlock Code!! (V6iCkSpEeD)
Hi Guys. Thanks so much for the info!
It seems the Honda dealership that originally sold my car didn't put the unlock code stickers anywhere, and the previous owner didn't include it with the owner's manual, either. After much checking, I found this out to be true.
Well, I ended up giving a call to my friendly neighborhood Honda dealership, and--over the phone--I got the unlock code after reading to them nothing more than the radio's serial number!
By the way, if you ever need a FREE unlock code during normal business hours and you really don't want to give any more info that what is necessary (or if you just stole a radio and need to unlock it), call Poway Honda in San Diego, California and ask for Stephanie in the Parts and Service department. Their number is (858) 486-4300 in the United States.
But again, thanks for everything!
