good luck You might have to call manufacturer, fax a recipt, possibly go back to where you bought it so that its a kenwood dealer that makes the phone call etc...
Sorry man, looks like you got hard work ahead to get your radio back

if you put in the qwrong code to many times it will "lock up" and you still have to send it to kenwood to unlock.

Not so...... depending on which series the owner has it can be reset to original non coded status.

After much debate.deliberation...meditation ( not to mention I deleted your e-mail by mistake )here is your answer:
IT CAN'T BE DONE.......J/K.. Im stroking you
you need two items...the radio and a kenwood remote with alpha characters over the display ( hey blame kennwood, its their idea )
1 reset radio..Push reset button
2 hit source....CODE should appear
3 hold DISP until " - - - - " appears
4 use remote to spell K C A R ( after each letter push tune up to tab to next space...I believe that you have to do this with the remote..going by memory if not use radio buttons)
5 push tune up on radio...you radio should reset to factory settings.
I am a firm believer in KARMA...I provided this info under the belief that you have a legitimate use for it........ Those who take this info and abuse it.well you know the end result is.....

People shouldn't answer these kinds of threads. Kenwood has services for this type of LEGITIMATE situation. Legitimate owners should be patient enough to use that process.
I don't mean any disrespect, but If I lost a "code" for my OEM unit. I'd have to wait for Acura to verify my ownership of it and let me know how to enable the radio again.
I'm especially not accusing aonick of deception either. I'm worried about the anonymous people that view these threads and don't care about Karma.
That should be one of the rules of this forum: No answers to "Help me break my security feature" questions.

Re: im trying to find the aint theft code my KENWOOD KDC-7009 cd player *help* (WOTTEG)
On one level I agree with you 120%...but I live in a "REAL" world. Not everyone plays by the same rules...I can walk into a retailer ,flash the cash, and walk out with a faceplate... No one has questioned or asked me to provide prooof of ownership. Is it wrong... YES,but how are we going to police it. On the flip side, what if the owner had bought the car used..and had 12v removed for and instant ( dead battery, engine swap,etc)...and didnt have the funds for a new deck because the "old deck" still works... its just " locked out" nor proof of ownership....are they to be excluded. Remember...i stated I had thought about "should I answer or not" and decided to do so.. If the moderators decide that this should be a standing rule then so be it...but remember that this IS a Tech forum.
