Re: Honda GRX (carbonk20)
yeah, i really dont understand why they brought this concept car back out. it used to be called the JVX concept. it was released like back in 1998 before the insight was ever made to highlight the IMA hybrid technology, and hint at a "new" crx. i really dont know why it went from JVX to GRX. maybe they threw in a new drivetrain.

Re: Honda GRX (MtnCRX)
oh, so this "new" concept car was an entrant in the Michelin Design challenge and it looks like they took the old JVX concept, ripped the IMA crap out, and put a motorcycle engine in and massaged the exterior, then called it a GRX.

I honestly think that honda would totally cluster expletive the crx if they tried to recreate it. If they did they better consult hondatech for some ground rules such as under 1900 pounds and come factory equipped with a k20a s swap.

Re: Honda GRX (SomeDude56)
I think if Honda is looking for another "renaissance" vehicle it won't resemble our current CRX's. The idea is to think a little outside the box. Going back to the 80's for developement styling isn't exactly "outside the box." JMO.
I truely wish they would bring something back. But I'm afraid it won't be something that I'm looking for.

Re: Honda GRX (88 rex)
if the insight didnt have crappy suspension and the aeroed out slim rear end with fender covers and the IMA system, i would have bought it and thought of it as the "new" crx.

no, i dont think so.
remember, the body is fully aluminum. its the lightest chassis youll find produced.
i think its got one of the best looking interior dashes even.
cant argue with the general shape of the body... its as close to a modern crx as possible (without the slim rear and covered fenders).
if they put a 1.6L in there and at least a fully independent rear suspension, it would have been a great car.
