Do you guys REALLY like the fit?
Do you guys really like the fit, or are you guys just liking it because it's a honda? I don't know, maybe it's just me. I think the fits look too matrix/kia-ish. I used to hate the element, but it sort of grew on me. Who knows, maybe the fit will grow on me too.
honda fit
kia something
toyota matrix
scion something
What do you guys think?
BTW that is not the pic of a fit above. It's a Kia concept car that looks like a fit. I just posted it to show a car that resembles the fit. IMHO I think that kia looks better though, LOL!

Re: (t0ekn3e)
The Matrix looked okay on magazine covers. Then when it came out and I actually stood next to it (parked my EG hatch next to it), I realized it was just a small mini van. Is the Fit going to be the same thing? Cuz they don't really make compact cars compact anymore.
I like my EG hatch. Small on the outside, big on the inside. Double wishbone suspension. Very flexible in terms of engine choices, and you could take suspension/brakes from it's big brother the Integra. The Integra''s gone, and the RSX is no replacement. I just don't see a new car, including the Fit, having the same quality and potential as the 92-95 Civic.
Honda just don't make them like they used to ('cept maybe the TSX). Shinjiro Honda RIP.

Whatever works for you. This is my first time seeing the Fit's model but I've seen the Aveo on actual roads.

Haha. Yeah I don't know what they're called exactly. I'm too lazy to find out too, haha.

I think Honda has a potential winner with the Fit, its exactly what alot of the people who have been modifying hondas for the past number of years need. Alot of this crowd has grown up and are looking for something made by Honda thats new, has a warrenty, has plenty of room, gets good fuel economy and most of all is cheap. Im pretty sure come spring I will be rocking one as a DD. I also think the FIT will grow on everyone, it seem like it has a personality

Depends on what youd like I guess. Its a very light car, is can be made even lighter - and it has unlimited potensial as far as tuning goes. This could easily become a number one for track and street tuning - simply due to its price, and small size.

Some of the cars you've listed are not the Fit's competitors. The Fit is only going go cost about $13K, if we can manage it.
So it fits in a class that has the Suzuki Reno in it. The Aveo. That kind of thing.
A car that might give it a decent whack is the upcoming release of a Toyota that's supposed to be the Echo replacement. It will be a generation ahead of the Fit as far as looks go, although it will not have an advantage with reliability, power or fuel economy.

Yes, the Fit is 5 years old. But it's a car whose time has come in the North American market, I think.

Not a big fan of hatches at all really. Even though the new style elongated looking hatches tend to be very comfortable, even with two 6' aruond 300 lbs guys sitting front to back.

I like the idea of the Fit, plus it can look good too it just takes some. I like the Fit because to me it represents a lot of why I got into Honda. Light weight and compact, plus you can fit a K series into it. I'm very curious to see how the sales pan out in comparision to the xA Matrix etc etc.
