Default Low beams dont work, but high beams do

Hey Guys heres the story behind the problem. My low beams went out on my 97' Honda Accord so I bought a new bulb for it. I was told to buy the 9006 model number but that didnt fit, so I went back and bought the 9005 to try it. It fit but now neither low beams work, althrough the high beams both work fine. Any ideas on the problems? I already checked all the fuses and replaced them to no avail. Could it be a problem with the headlight switch? Maybe I bought the wrong model number? Thanks guys and sorry for the newb post.

Double check the fuses....I had a similar problem on mine and thought all the fuses were fine but they weren't. There are three 20A fuses under the hood that you need to check. Also the 9006 bulbs are the ONLY bulbs that will fit in the low beams . Double check the bulbs to make sure that they are still ok and not burned out.
